- Minh Mang Tomb : Minh Mang Tomb or known as “Hieu mausoleum’ is one of the most mystical tombs of Nguyen Dynasty. Minh Mang Tomb is as a microcosm of Hue Citadel, combined between landscape and architecture buildings. While explore the temple, you will have sense of visiting a beautiful garden instead of the mausoleum. Minh Mang’s tomb is an architectural complex consisting 40 constructions (temple, pavilion, palaces, etc…). To tell about Minh Mang’s tomb, there are two words: symmetry and grandeur. All constructions positioned follow symmetric axis called Than Dao path from Dai Hong Gate to the foot of La Thanh (surrounding wall) behind the tomb.
- Khai Đinh Tomb : This is the final resting place of Khai Dinh, Emperor of Vietnam from 1916-1925. The tomb represents a fusion of traditional Vietnamese style and modern influence. Begun in 1920 and completed in 1931, the tomb is almost entirely made of concrete and includes many European architectural details, likely inspired by the Emperor’s visit to France in 1922 where he viewed the Marseilles Colonial Exhibition.

- Tu Duc Tomb: Tu Duc tomb is situated in a valley in Duong Xuan Thuong village. It is one of the most beautiful tombs of royal architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb is far about 8 kilometers from the Hue and lies near the pine forest. It was built in December 1864 and accomplished in 1867. The surrounding wall inside the tomb has 12 hectares width and interior tomb has nearly 50 constructions with various levels. All constructions have the word ‘Khiem’ in their name.

- The Citadel : The Citadel of Hue (Kinh thanh hue), is a large fortress built in the 17TH century (year 1805) mandated by Emperor Gia Long in the city of Hue in Central Vietnam. This huge and magnificent monument has been designed combining the concepts of Chinese geomancy (the best example is The forbidden city in Beijing) and the military principles of the French architect Sébastien de Vauban. The resulting final set are precious palaces, beautiful temples melted between walls, ramparts and moats, which coexist in total harmony.
- Thien Mu Pagoda : Built on a hill overlooking the Perfume River, 4km southwest of the Citadel, this pagoda is an icon of Vietnam and as potent a symbol of Hue as the Citadel. The 21m-high octagonal tower, Thap Phuoc Duyen , was constructed under the reign of Emperor Thieu Tri in 1844. Each of its seven storeys is dedicated to a manushi-buddha (a Buddha that appeared in human form).
Then get on the boat for a sight -seeing along the Perfume River to see fishing village and sampan on the way back. Do not miss the Sunset on the Perfume River!
Back to town at 4:30 pm.
